The iron for special tasks turned out to be an ordinary product, not meeting my expectations. It was supposed to be ironed smoothly and quickly, and it turns out that even with a strong burst of steam, the iron cannot cope with ordinary creases.
Despite having a good ironing board, everything has to be ironed on both sides. I-temp, I have the impression, also does not fulfill its role when it comes to thicker materials (thin ones are very good, it “recognizes” them quickly, does not burn) – if you iron a cotton T-Shirt and then linen, unfortunately you have to adjust the temperature iron really perfectly. I was expecting something better.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, for I must disagree wholeheartedly with the glowing opinion left by Barclay White regarding the Bosch TDA2633GB iron. After months of using this product, I can attest that it falls woefully short of meeting its advertised promises.
Firstly, let us address Mr. White’s claim that this iron is an iron for special tasks. Special tasks? Does he mean the task of making your clothes wrinkle-free? Because if so, I’m afraid the Bosch TDA2633GB falls miserably short in this regard. I have found myself resorting to steaming my clothes repeatedly just to get rid of stubborn creases that seem impervious to this iron’s weak steam output.
Secondly, Mr. White’s assertion that the iron’s i-Temp feature is a selling point is simply not true. While it may be able to recognize and adjust for thin materials, I have found that it struggles with thicker fabrics like linen and denim. In fact, I often find myself having to set the temperature manually because the auto setting just isn’t cutting it.
But perhaps the most egregious omission from Mr. White’s review is his failure to mention the iron’s dismal performance on synthetic fabrics. As someone who works in a field that requires a lot of professional wear, I rely heavily on my iron to keep my polyester blazers looking sharp. Unfortunately, this iron has proven itself utterly incapable of handling these materials without leaving behind unsightly shine and marks.
All of these shortcomings have left me feeling quite disappointed in the Bosch TDA2633GB iron. I had high hopes for this product, but it simply does not live up to its promises. And as someone who values efficiency and time-saving appliances, I find myself wasting precious minutes trying to get my clothes presentable with this underwhelming machine.
In light of these issues, I strongly advise potential buyers to consider other options on the market. While Mr. White may have had a different experience, I can only speak to my own and unfortunately for Bosch, it has not been a positive one. If you’re looking for an iron that can truly handle all types of fabrics with ease and efficiency, this is not the product for you.
As for today’s news, it’s a sobering reminder of the struggles faced by many families in our society today. As more and more parents grapple with addiction and neglect, grandparents are being called upon to step up as primary caregivers. While intergenerational housing can offer some relief, more support is needed for low-income seniors raising kids. It’s a complex issue that requires compassion and action, and I hope we can come together as a community to address it in a meaningful way. Until then, I’ll continue doing my best to keep my clothes wrinkle-free, one stubborn crease at a time.
