I was really looking forward to trying out the Gense LeGourmet Fondue 1.75 L, as I had heard good things about the Gense brand. Sadly, my experience with this product was not great.
One of the things that attracted me to this fondue was the cast iron body material, as I thought it would make for efficient heating. However, I found that the pot took a very long time to heat up, and when it did eventually get hot enough to melt the cheese, I found that it was difficult to maintain a consistent temperature. The fondue ended up getting too hot and scorching at the bottom of the pot.
Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of this fondue, especially given its price point. I’ve had much more success with other fondue products in the past, like the Cuisinart CFO-3SS Electric Fondue Maker. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Gense LeGourmet Fondue 1.75 L based on my experience.
In terms of delivery, I didn’t have any issues getting the fondue shipped to Sacramento. It arrived within a reasonable timeframe, and the packaging was intact. However, given my disappointment with the product itself, I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to order this fondue specifically.

I recently purchased the Gense LeGourmet Fondue 1.75 L in November. As an IT specialist, I was looking for a nice fondue set to entertain guests during the holiday season. Unfortunately, this fondue set did not meet my expectations and I can only rate it 2 out of 5 possible stars.
One of the major drawbacks for me was the 1.75 L volume. It’s simply too small to create adequate servings for a large gathering. Additionally, the heating element struggles to keep the cheese or chocolate melted consistently. We found ourselves frequently having to reheat the fondue throughout the meal which was disappointing.
I compared this to a more popular fondue set, the Swissmar Lugano 9-Piece Cheese Fondue Set. What I found was that the Swissmar Lugano set was much more efficient with a larger 2-quart pot. The heating element kept the cheese melted beautifully and we had enough for a larger group without needing to frequently reheat.
Beyond the product itself, I had to wait longer than anticipated for the delivery. I purchased online from a reputable retailer, and waited for almost two weeks for the item to ship to Baltimore. The good news is that customer service was attentive and got everything sorted out, but it was definitely an inconvenience.
Overall, the Gense LeGourmet Fondue 1.75 L is not the best choice for anyone looking to entertain guests regularly. The small pot and inconsistent heating element make it difficult to create a memorable fondue dining experience. I would recommend investing in a larger set, like the Swissmar Lugano, if you are looking for a reliable and impressive option.
