EcoAir DC18 Air Purifier: A Comprehensive Review
Indoor air pollution is a growing concern in modern times, as we spend most of our time inside. Thus, it is essential to ensure that the air we breathe indoors is clean, free of dust, allergens, and pollutants. EcoAir DC18 air purifier is designed to help improve the quality of indoor air, which can be beneficial to people suffering from allergies and other respiratory problems.
In this article, we will take a closer look at the EcoAir DC18 air purifier’s features, performance, and user experience.
Design and Features
The EcoAir DC18 air purifier has a sleek, modern design that fits in with most decor styles. It is a compact unit that stands at 22.5 cm tall and has a diameter of 24 cm, making it easy to move around or place it in a corner. It comes in two colours, black and white, and has a touch control panel on top of the unit.
The EcoAir DC18 air purifier uses a 4-stage filtration system to clean the air. The first stage is a pre-filter that captures large particles like pet hair and dust. The second stage is a HEPA filter that captures small particles like tobacco smoke, pollen, and mold spores. The third stage is an activated carbon filter that removes odours and VOCs. The fourth stage is a UV-C lamp that kills bacteria and viruses.
Performance
The EcoAir DC18 air purifier is designed for rooms up to 25m² (269ft²). It has a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of 152m³/h (89.37CFM), which means it can clean the air in a room of this size twice an hour. The noise level ranges from 30 to 55 decibels, depending on the fan speed, which is relatively quiet for an air purifier.
User Experience
The EcoAir DC18 air purifier is straightforward to use. The touch control panel on top of the unit allows users to turn it on and off, adjust the fan speed, and set a timer. The air purifier also has an air quality sensor that indicates the indoor air quality level by changing the colour of the LED light from blue (good) to orange (fair) to red (poor).
It is effortless to maintain the EcoAir DC18 air purifier. The pre-filter and HEPA filter need to be replaced every six months, and the activated carbon filter and UV-C lamp every 12 months. The replacement filters are readily available online and easy to install.
Conclusion
Overall, the EcoAir DC18 air purifier is an excellent option for people looking to improve the quality of indoor air. The 4-stage filtration system, compact design, and air quality sensor make it a user-friendly appliance that can benefit people with respiratory problems, allergies, or those who want a cleaner indoor environment. Its affordable price, easy maintenance, and quiet operation make it a top pick for small to medium-sized spaces.

I have been using it for less than a week, so I did not have time to fully test all functions. What I can say right now is a very elegant design. The device is on wheels, so there is no problem with moving between rooms. As for effectiveness, I live in Krakow, where the air is heavily polluted. When I first turned it on, the LED was blinking red for 2 hours. At the moment it is green in a burst of orange. When it comes to the comfort of use, you can forget about the device. The night mode works perfectly well, as for the auto mode, it can be different. In the middle of the night, it can fire up at a higher speed, but after a while it slows down and it’s nice again.
Generally it is quiet. The humidifier works perfectly, it maintains a constant humidity (in my case it is 65%) I do not know how to use electricity – I will see after the first month of use, because Sharp goes round. Finally, my feelings: to be honest, I was a bit naively expecting a “mountain smell” or “sea breeze” in my house. Both didn’t happen, but I’m happy anyway. Open nose, better sleep, after waking up I have no sahara in my mouth, I stopped snoring and when cooking it quickly reduces the smells that spread around the house. These are the tangible benefits. To sum up, I recommend it, but there is no PHONE APPLICATION to be fully lucky!
Declan Lee –
Hey there! My name’s Declan Lee, and let me tell you, I was so excited when I got this new gadget back in September. You know the one, it’s the super cool thing that makes your air cleaner and helps save the planet at the same time.
Now don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t look like much – just a simple box really. But inside, well, it’s like a superhero! It can save us from all those bad things in the air like dust and pollen that make you sneeze and cough. Plus, did I mention how power-efficient it is? It’s so green and eco-friendly that it almost feels like we’re living on some other planet where everything is perfect!
And guess what? This little box can save us a lot of money too. How, you ask? Well, since it’s super efficient, it doesn’t use up as much energy as those old air-cleaning machines. So every time we turn it on, we’re not only breathing in cleaner air but also saving some bucks for our piggy bank!
Wanna know my top tips? Firstly, always keep the filters clean and fresh. A dirty filter is like a superhero without their cape – they just can’t do their best work. Secondly, remember to place your gadget in an open area where it gets plenty of airflow. This way, our super-green friend won’t have to work too hard cleaning the same air over and over again.
But let me tell you something else – even though this thing is amazing and all, it’s not a magic wand that can make everything perfect. You still need to keep your windows open sometimes and let in some fresh air from outside. After all, nothing beats nature when it comes to cleaning up our world!
So there you have it, my friends. A little story about how Declan Lee got himself this incredible eco-friendly gadget that not only helps him breathe easier but also saves money and the planet. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go thank my Air-Puriifier for being such a great buddy!

Dear Algernon Salvage,
Allow us to present an alternative opinion on your recent review of the EcoAir DC18 air purifier. While we appreciate your honesty and detailed feedback, we can’t help but feel that your assessment may be a bit too optimistic.
Firstly, let’s address the issue of air pollution in Krakow. We understand your concern, as heavy smog is a common problem in many urban areas today. However, we must point out that an air purifier alone cannot solve this issue. It can only help to remove some pollutants from the indoor air, but it’s not a substitute for taking action against outdoor pollution. So while you may have noticed some improvements in your home’s air quality, don’t expect miracles.
Secondly, we must question your claims about the device’s effectiveness. After just one week of use, is it really fair to say that the LED light is blinking red for two hours and then green with bursts of orange? Shouldn’t the device have settled into a steady state by now? Furthermore, what does heavily polluted air actually mean? Is your home located in a particularly dirty area? Without further details, it’s hard to gauge whether your results are truly representative.
Thirdly, we must express our skepticism about the night mode feature. While it’s true that some people may prefer quieter operation during sleep hours, others might want a more powerful purge to keep them breathing easily throughout the night. We believe that a smart air purifier should offer customizable settings to suit different needs and preferences.
Speaking of smart technology, we must also mention that the lack of a phone application is a major drawback in our opinion. In today’s interconnected world, it’s almost unthinkable to have a high-end device without some sort of remote control or monitoring feature. This omission seems especially strange given that the DC18 boasts of its intelligent features and advanced filtration capabilities.
Finally, we must address your disappointment in the lack of a mountain smell or sea breeze effect. While it’s true that some air purifiers do offer aromatherapy options, they are typically used for relaxation or mood enhancement rather than actual health benefits. In fact, strong fragrances can sometimes trigger allergies or irritation, especially in people with sensitivities to certain scents.
In light of these concerns, we would like to present an alternative viewpoint on the EcoAir DC18 air purifier. While it may have some useful features and design elements, we believe that its limitations and shortcomings outweigh the benefits. We suggest that our readers consider other options in the market before making a purchase decision.
As for today’s news, we must express our sympathy for the people affected by the volcanic eruptions in Indonesia. While the cold lava and heavy rains may seem like unusual phenomena, they are not unprecedented. In fact, volcanoes have been known to exhibit unpredictable behavior at times, as evidenced by Mount Marapi’s recent outburst. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and follow the advice of local authorities in such situations.
In conclusion, while we appreciate your enthusiasm for the EcoAir DC18, we hope that our perspective has provided a more balanced and nuanced view of this product. We encourage you to do further research and seek out independent reviews before making any purchasing decisions. Stay safe and healthy!
