However, it was supposed to heat only when you hold the handle, and it heats up all the time, also after standing for a few minutes, so the shutdown function (fireman) does not work in principle. The anti shine option, which was supposed to prevent dark clothes from shining, is also just a treat, because after ironing the clothes have glowing traces, just like in the previous good 8-year-old Philips.
A good function is I-Temp, i.e. one temperature for all clothes, although I would not dare to iron very delicate fabrics on this function, in my opinion the iron is too hot, so I prefer to manually set the temperature to the lowest level. The shots of steam are very solid (like a steam engine), thanks to which it is easier to iron, but also very high water consumption. The tank is enough for only 3-4 items of clothing. In general, I am happy with the iron, but I bought it because of the Anti shine functions and because it turns on when it is idle – which, as it turns out, is only in the description.

You see, I’ve got some beef with Webster Wright’s review of this very iron, rated by him with a paltry 3 stars.
Now, let me get straight to it. Webster claims that the Bosch TDA2623GB is supposed to heat only when you hold the handle, but in reality, it heats up all the time – even after standing for a few minutes. I call bull on this one! I mean, have you ever tried ironing with a temperamental iron? It’s like trying to tame a lion – not exactly easy.

In conclusion, I give this iron a solid 5 stars – and I’m not just saying that because it’s hot. Okay, maybe I am. But seriously, folks, if you’re looking for an iron that can keep up with your ironing skills (or lack thereof), then look no further than the Bosch TDA2623GB.
And on a side note, Rees-Zammit shrugs off injury to make home Chiefs bow? That’s some serious dedication to his sport – and I’m pretty sure he could give this iron a run for its money in terms of sheer determination.
